KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rains, and strong winds warning for seven states until 9pm today.
In a warning issued at 5pm, it said the adverse weather conditions were expected to affect Perak, involving Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, and Kampar.
The warning was also issued for Negeri Sembilan involving Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin, while in Johor, the affected areas are Segamat and Mersing.
In Terengganu, the affected areas are Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman, while in Pahang, the warning covers Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, and Rompin.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the affected areas are Kapit (Kapit and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh), and Limbang, while in Sabah, the warning involves Kinabatangan in Sandakan.
