KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rains, and strong winds warning involving the Federal Territory of Labuan and nine states until 7pm today.
The adverse weather is expected to affect the whole of Terengganu, Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim) and Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh).
In Pahang, the warning covers Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera, and Rompin, while in Selangor, the districts listed are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat.
In Negeri Sembilan, the areas expected to be affected are Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampin, while in Johor, the warning covers Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.
The same warning has also been issued for several districts in Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Kapit (Kapit and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang.
In Sabah, the areas forecast to be hit are the Interior, the West Coast, Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, and Beluran), and Kudat.
