HULU LANGAT, May 13 — The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah visited the Bahulu Classiq factory in Kampung Jawa, Batu 18, as part of the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor tour programme's second edition (GRS 2.0) today.
Upon arrival, His Highness was received by state executive councillor for unity and consumer affairs Datuk Rizam Ismail, Dusun Tua state state assemblyman Datuk Johan Abd Aziz, and Lembah Jaya state assemblyman Syed Ahmad Abdul Rahman Alhadad, better known as Altimet.
Tengku Amir also witnessed the presentation of a RM20,000 contribution from the state government to purchase business supplies, which Rizam handed over to Bahulu Classiq owner Nur Adeeba Ibrahim.
The Raja Muda then observed the bahulu batter-mixing process and personally tried pouring the mixture into the moulds.
Later on, His Highness visited the Bahulu Classiq café and graciously received a hamper of bahulu as a token of appreciation from Adeeba.
Previously, Rizam had announced that GRS 2.0 would introduce an adoption project involving the construction, repair, and maintenance of infrastructure, with a focus on identifying damaged facilities to ensure public safety.
GRS was introduced to strengthen the spirit of unity and community systems in Selangor. Its implementation encompasses six main agendas: carnivals and exploration activities, policy initiatives, a unity song, and the restructuring and empowerment of village leadership institutions.
During the first edition in February 2024, the programme toured all districts, starting in Hulu Selangor, before concluding in Gombak.
