SHAH ALAM, May 29 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari joined nearly 80 youth activists and volunteers in a gotong-royong effort for the Menteri Besar’s Korban Perdana Programme in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha at his official residence yesterday.
He said that three cattle were sacrificed for distribution to the poor and needy, while part of the meat was also delivered to surau and orphanages.
The programme not only enlivened the spirit of the korban ritual but also served as a platform to strengthen the culture of volunteerism and togetherness among young people.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who attended and worked together to make this programme a success.
“May the spirit of togetherness, the values of sacrifice, and the culture of service to the community demonstrated today continue to flourish among the younger generation in building a more caring, compassionate, and united society,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.
Also participating in the programme were youths from the Selangor Local Youth Movement, the Selangor Students Association, and students from Universiti Selangor.
Volunteers from the Malaysian Drug Prevention Association, the Selangor Angkatan Muda Keadilan, Adibakti, and Aktivis Muda Selangor were also present.
