SHAH ALAM, May 22 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari yesterday tabled the Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package, aimed at cushioning the people and business sector from the impact of the West Asia conflict, to Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.
Also present during the audience at Istana Alam Shah in Klang was Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar.
“After a meeting with the attorney-general, I also tabled developments on the Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package to His Royal Highness.
“This resilience enhancement package was formulated to help people and business sectors affected by the crisis in West Asia,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post yesterday.
According to Amirudin, the Sultan received the updates and expressed hope that the state government continues to prioritise the people’s welfare.
The menteri besar also thanked the Ruler for granting him and Dusuki an audience.
“May His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness continue to be blessed with protection and good health, intelligence, taufiq and hidayah, and remain enthroned in leading the state of Selangor with sovereignty and nobility,” Amirudin posted.
In April, he tabled the RM131 million Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package as effects from the West Asia conflict were becoming more apparent, with initiatives to boost food security, reduce cost of living, and curb excessive inflation.
The package also included efforts to advocate for public transport use and distribute targeted aid to groups most affected by the crisis.
Phase one of the package will be implemented from June 15, covering Ehsan Rahmah Sales, Kita Selangor vouchers, public transport fare subsidies, aid for the agriculture sector, the empowerment of Selangor cooperatives entrepreneurs, and the Selangor Food Warehouse (GMS).
