Selangor launches SAGE portal for public to view project updates

SHAH ALAM, April 29 — The state today launched the Selangor Agenda for Green Economy 2025-2035 (SAGE) website to facilitate access to information and improve transparency on projects under the initiative, said state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato’ Izham Hashim.

He said the platform is a dashboard for energy supply projects in the state, in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

According to him, SAGE covers various large projects including the Pulau Indah Power Plant (PIPP) and waste-to-energy (WTE) plants in Jeram and Tanjung Duabelas.

He also said the platform would display the state government’s plans to build hydrogen and nuclear power plants.

“This website is also a continuous endeavour by the state government to provide a transparent space or platform to provide people with the opportunity to monitor and see project developments in Selangor.

“This platform isn’t just a transparency tool, but also a clear signal to investors, federal agencies, and strategic partners that Selangor has systematic, monitorable, investment-ready project pipelines,” he told a press conference for the SAGE portal launch at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly Hall lobby here today.

Izham said SAGE is a mechanism that translates a potential RM63 billion into real, trackable investments that present positive impacts to the community, industry, and infrastructure in Selangor.

He added that SAGE is a comprehensive government approach comprising three portfolios — energy generation and infrastructure, circular economy and energy efficiency, and green mobility.

The SAGE website was developed under the State Economic Planning Unit in collaboration with state government subsidiary Worldwide Holdings Bhd.

SAGE is a comprehensive plan that covers heat energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and new technologies like hydrogen, with an aim of drawing over RM63 billion in investments to the state by 2035.
