BEIJING, July 15 — China has promised to build liveable, sustainable and resilient cities in the next phase of its urban development after the first top-level urban planning meeting in a decade, abandoning breakneck urban growth that once supercharged its economy.

PUTRAJAYA, March 20 — The rate of urbanisation rose to 75.1 per cent in 2020, leading to an improved quality of life and life expectancy for Malaysia's population, according to the 2023 edition of the Malaysia Social Statistics Review (MSSR) published by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 23 — The urbanisation rate in Malaysia has tripled from 28.4 per cent in 1970 to 75.1 per cent in 2020, which was contributed by natural population increase, migration and demarcation.
