PUTRAJAYA, Nov 12 — The country’s Covid-19 infectivity rate or R-naught (Rt) which has risen to 1.0 may be an early sign that positive cases will increase, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — The total number of Covid-19 recoveries in the country continued to exceed new infections when 16,628 patients were reported to have recovered compared to 13,754 new cases recorded as of noon today.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — Only 338 or 2.3 per cent of the 14,990 new Covid-19 cases reported in Malaysia today are in categories three, four and five, while 14,652 cases or 97.7 per cent are categories one and two patients involving asymptomatic or mild cases, said Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

KUALA LUMPUR,  Nov 18 —  The Health Ministry (MOH) is targeting a R naught value or infectivity rate of below 0.5 through public health activities in preventing and controlling the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 5 — The Ministry of Health (MOH) expects the Covid-19 infectivity or R-naught (R0) value would be reduced to up to 0.5 in the next two or three weeks’ time.

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 16 — Public health action needs to be intensified to ensure that the R-Naught (Rt) figure can be reduced to less than 1.0 thus reducing the Covid-19 transmission and infectivity rate in the community.
