MSPO certification makes it difficult to replace oil in global market, says ministry

KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 — A total of 4.89 million hectares (ha), or 86.47 per cent of palm oil cultivation areas in Malaysia, have received certification under the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) standard as of December 31, 2024, demonstrating Malaysia’s commitment to sustainability.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 — The European Union’s (EU) ban on the import of palm oil as a biofuel by 2030 is seen as lacking in transparency and scientific reliability which provides an inaccurate view of the sustainability practices practised in the country's biofuel industry.
