PUTRAJAYA, April 18 — The use of single-use plastic bags in forest reserves, national/state parks, marine parks, geoheritage sites, geosites and certain business premises nationwide is now prohibited as a proactive measure to reduce plastic pollution in the country.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 — The Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Ministry (NRECC) will forge close ties with state governments to ensure development activities can be balanced with the need for environmental conservation to achieve the national sustainability agenda.
