KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 — The Plantation and Commodities Ministry aims to focus on mechanisation and automation to overcome the tight labour supply for the palm oil industry.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The adoption of mechanisation in Malaysia’s oil palm plantations is still relatively low at less than 50 per cent for overall field activities, and less than 15 per cent for harvesting, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 — Sime Darby Plantation Bhd (SDP) aims to be the anchor for utilising mechanisation, automation and digitalisation in the oil palm plantation as the country aspires to reduce its dependency on foreign labour.
