KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 — The Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management (Amendment) Bill 2025, which passed in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, will empower courts to issue community service orders for littering offences in public areas.

KAMPAR, Aug 10 — The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) is looking into amending the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171) to provide severe penalties for those caught littering.

IPOH, April 6 — The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has instructed local authorities to immediately issue compounds to individuals who throw thrash out of their vehicles.
