PHNOM PENH, July 6 — A global conservation agency announced a RM177 million (US$42 million) project to protect the Indo-Malaya forest, one of the world’s last remaining major primary forest areas.

KOTA KINABALU, May 9 — There is fear of the Sunda pangolin also known as the Malayan or Javan pangolin becoming extinct in Sabah due to illegal hunting of the mammal, said Sabah Wildlife Department (JHL) director Augustine Tuuga.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — The increasing trend in the death of Malayan Tapir due to road accidents in the country, involving 24 of the species last year alone, is worrying, said Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
