HONG KONG/SYDNEY, Nov 30 — Drugmaker Moderna set off fresh alarm bells in financial markets on Tuesday as the firm's chief warned that Covid-19 vaccines are unlikely to be as effective against the Omicron variant as they have been against the Delta version.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 — Neither Pfizer Inc nor any of its affiliates globally, have authorized anyone to import, market or distribute the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine and currently, there is no authorised private distributor of the vaccine worldwide, according to Pfizer Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR/SINGAPORE, Jan 14 — China's Sinovac Biotech defended the safety and efficacy of its experimental Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday, after researchers in Brazil released late-stage clinical data showing efficacy that was much lower than initially announced.

MOSCOW, Nov 23 — The AZD1222 Covid-19 vaccine, developed by the Oxford University and the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical giant, is up to 90 per cent effective, according to results of an interim analysis of the clinical trials in the United Kingdom and Brazil, AstraZeneca said on Monday, noting that the average efficacy is assessed at 70 per cent.
