BNM imposes penalties on four financial institutions for regulatory breaches

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has imposed an administrative monetary penalty on four banks: Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB), HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd, HSBC Amanah Malaysia Bhd, and Maybank Islamic Bhd for various breaches of financial regulations.

Restructuring of financial institutions vital to enhance performance: MOF

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 — The restructuring of the Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) involving Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB), Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Bhd (SME Bank), and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (EXIM Bank) is in line with the national agenda to implement reforms and strengthen government-owned institutions, said the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
