KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) confirmed that mixed doubles player Toh Ee Wei sustained a knee injury during her quarter-final match at the Singapore Open last week.
The subsequent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) assessment revealed a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.
"As a result, Toh Ee Wei and her mixed doubles partner Chen Tang Jie have withdrawn from the Indonesia Open 2026," it said in a statement today.
Toh is scheduled to undergo a follow-up MRI assessment on Friday (June 5), after which the BAM’s medical team will determine the next course of treatment and rehabilitation.
