ISTANBUL, May 23 — Forty-one of the 53 injured Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 activists have been discharged from hospitals here, Anadolu Ajansi reported Turkish authorities as saying yesterday.
The activists arrived here aboard three Turkish Airlines (THY) flights on Thursday after being detained by Israel in international waters.
Authorities said 12 activists remain hospitalised, including nine at Basaksehir Cam and Sakura City Hospital, while three are at Bakirkoy Dr Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital.
The GSF 2.0 activists had been attempting to break Israel’s siege on Palestine’s Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to residents in the enclave, when they were intercepted by the Zionist regime in international waters.
