Selangor Education Dept extends condolences over death of Year Six student

SHAH ALAM, May 10 — The Selangor Education Department (JPNS) has extended its condolences to the family of Year Six pupil Muhammad Fahim Darwisy Yusmafendi, who died at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), Klang, on Friday (May 8).

It is providing the necessary assistance to the deceased's family while ensuring their welfare and well-being continue to receive attention.

“The department expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Muhammad Fahim Darwisy, who lost consciousness during a Yasin recitation session at school before later passing away in the hospital.

“May his soul be placed among the faithful, and may the family be granted strength and perseverance in facing this difficult test,” JPNS said in a statement today.

Yesterday, Klang Utara police chief ACP S. Vijaya Rao said the 12-year-old pupil was confirmed dead at HTAR after being rushed there for treatment following an incident where he fainted during a school assembly at a school in Kapar, Klang.

Preliminary autopsy findings found no criminal elements linked to the incident. However, the exact cause of death has yet to be determined pending the full laboratory report.

The case has been classified as a sudden death report.
