SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has closed down four unauthorised canteens operating at construction sites across Dengkil in its enforcement against unlicensed businesses.

In a Facebook post, it said enforcement was undertaken under Provision 3 of the Trades, Businesses, and Industries (MPSepang) By-Laws 2007, for operating a business without a valid licence.

“Four compound notices were issued, and four confiscations were carried out throughout the operation,” it said yesterday.

MPSepang said the April 30 operation was led by its special enforcement unit, in collaboration with its Building, Health, and Engineering Departments.

“The primary objective of the operation was to monitor construction site canteens and ensure they adhere to strict local authority regulations in terms of hygiene, safety and building structures,” the council said in its Facebook post.

MPSepang added that enforcement operations will be launched periodically to ensure business owners abide by the law.
