SHAH ALAM, April 27 — A shophouse and two vehicles were destroyed in a fire along Jalan Parit 13, Sungai Nibong, Sungai Besar, this afternoon.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said they received a call about the fire at 2pm, and a team from the Sungai Besar Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by a team from Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Station, was dispatched.
“The operations commander said the fire involved a Class B building measuring 70 by 40 square feet that was 70 per cent destroyed, along with a Proton Perdana and Proton Wira,” he said in a statement.
The fire was brought under control at 2.15pm, and checks confirmed there were no casualties.
Mukhlis added that the cause of the fire and losses is still being investigated.
