SABAK BERNAM, April 26 — The Rumah Idaman Qaseh project in Taman Air Manis is providing young people with the opportunity to own their first home at an affordable price through a simple, fast application process.
Most key recipients expressed gratitude for finally being able to own their homes at a young age, which helped them plan their futures with their families.

A recipient from Sungai Besar, Ong Zi Chuan, 24, said he was thankful that his dream of owning a home at a young age had finally been realised through the project.
The warehouse manager said the purchasing process was made easier by minimal documentation requirements, which sped up approval.
“The monthly instalments are also relatively low, and this really helps young people to buy a home and manage their finances better.
“This Rumah Idaman is also very suitable for living with a family, as the design is spacious, comfortable and features a good residential concept,” he told Media Selangor during the project's handover ceremony yesterday.
Ong added that such projects should continue, as many young people still face difficulties in owning their first home.

Meanwhile, assistant accountant Tan Kai Ting, 23, said the opportunity to own a home early in her career has helped her plan her finances more effectively.
The reasonable pricing makes the project a suitable choice, especially for those who have just started working.
“Many of my friends are still unable to buy homes due to rising market prices. I hope the Selangor government will expand projects like Rumah Idaman so that more young people have the opportunity to own homes at affordable prices,” she said.

For administrative assistant Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Halmi, he did not expect his application to own a home to be approved within such a short period.
The application, submitted in February 2025, was approved by August, demonstrating an efficient and well-organised process.
“The price of this house is very reasonable, and the monthly instalments are low, making it an ideal option for middle-income earners.
“Rumah Idaman truly represents affordable housing that helps people own their own homes,” he said.
Ridzuan also hopes that the state government will further expand publicity for the housing project to ensure more young people receive information and have the opportunity to apply.
