JAKARTA, Sept 10 — Indonesia has condemned Israel’s attack on Doha, calling it a flagrant breach of international law and a threat to regional security.
The strike on Qatar’s capital on Tuesday violated the United Nations Charter and Qatar’s sovereignty, the Foreign Ministry stated in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
"Indonesia condemns this aggression and repeats its calls on the United Nations Security Council to fulfil its mandate by taking immediate and decisive measures to halt Israel’s actions and ensure accountability," it said yesterday.
Jakarta also reaffirmed its solidarity with Qatar and said it remained committed to supporting diplomatic efforts for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East based on a two-state solution.
News reports stated that Israel launched an attack on the residence of a Hamas leader while the group’s negotiators were discussing the latest ceasefire and prisoner exchange proposal from United States President Donald Trump.
