SHAH ALAM, Sept 4 — All Technical Delegation heads (KDT) and Competition Managers for the 22nd Malaysia Games (Sukma) signed the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) today to ensure that next year’s biennial national sporting event is free from corruption and abuse of power.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Kuala Lumpur director Mohamad Zakkuan Talib.

Also present were Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) Secretary-General Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Sukma Selangor 2026 Secretariat Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Yazid Sairi, and National Sports Council (NSC) Director-General Jefri Ngadirin.

Speaking to the press after the event, Jefri said the IBR symbolises the agreement and commitment of all KDTs and Competition Managers to carry out their responsibilities with transparency and integrity.

“The IBR also marks the pledge by all involved that they are free from corruption, which will ensure Sukma 2026 is conducted professionally and in accordance with good governance and best practices,” he said.

Sukma Selangor 2026 is scheduled to be held from August 15 to August 24, while the Para Sukma will take place from September 5 to September 14, with the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) the venue for the opening ceremony.
