KAJANG, Sept 3 — The Skim Air Darul Ehsan (SADE) roadshow will be held in the Balakong state constituency to enable its residents’ access to free water.
Balakong assemblyman Ong Chun Wei said his office will facilitate the broadcast of information on SADE over social media so residents learn how to apply for the scheme.
“The state government has set the monthly household income limit to RM6,000. I expect more households to receive this benefit from now on.
“We will hold a roadshow and broadcast (information on) SADE over social media. I will also announce this (scheme) during programmes with the people,” Ong said.

Selangor activated its water tariff restructuring on Monday. There won’t be any increase for the majority of people who use up to 20m3 a month, with the rate remaining at 65 sen/m3.
The step is to ensure long-term supply sustainability and ensure target groups receive help.
Thus, the state government raised the household income threshold for SADE from RM5,000 to RM6,000, effective August 1.
