JAKARTA, Aug 29 — The Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta is closely monitoring the latest developments following a series of demonstrations that began on Monday in the Senayan area of Central Jakarta.
It said the demonstrations have affected traffic flow following the closure of a number of locations, particularly in South and Central Jakarta.
The embassy urged Malaysians residing in Jakarta and those visiting for pleasure, business, and other purposes to constantly monitor the latest updates regarding protest sites from local authorities and media.
“Malaysians are also advised to avoid demonstration areas and not to engage in any actions that could violate local regulations,” it said in a statement today.
