SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — The development of the Selangor Aero Park (SAP), covering 200 acres in Sepang, has now reached 50 per cent completion, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said that SAP will serve as a new economic zone to drive the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (Idriss).

“SAP is the latest step in elevating the Idriss narrative. The NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), launched last year, has already achieved sales targets of up to 40 per cent.

“Two days ago, I met with several foreign embassies where we discussed the implementation of new initiatives to stimulate Idriss further,” he said after delivering the Menteri Besar's National Day Lecture at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre today.

Amirudin added that he would convene a meeting next month with the committees of the Selangor Greater Klang Valley (SGKV), the Sabak Bernam Area Development (Sabda), and Idriss to monitor the progress of all the state’s mega development projects.

“The state wants to see the progress of all programmes seriously, as well as the obstacles we can overcome and address in order to realise the planned projects under Sabda, Idriss, and SGKV,” he said.

On June 5, the state government opened a new chapter in history with the launch of the 600-acre Aero Park development project at KLIA Aeropolis in Sepang, aiming to stimulate the aerospace and semiconductor sectors and drive Selangor's economy.

Launched by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, the project is a collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI-linked companies and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).

It is a strategic initiative to drive high-impact investments while becoming a hub for innovation, talent development, and technology sharing.
