University students may claim RM100 Madani book vouchers tomorrow

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 27 — The Higher Learning Ministry (MOHE) will implement the RM100 Madani Book Voucher initiative tomorrow through December 12, benefitting 500,000 students at public universities, polytechnics, community colleges, and private higher learning institutions.

MOHE said in a statement today that the initiative demonstrates the Madani Government’s commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and alleviating their financial burden.

“It also seeks to foster a reading habit among youth, especially university students, while boosting the book industry’s growth.

“MOHE hopes all eligible students will make full use of the book vouchers to broaden their knowledge and enhance their capabilities, in line with the ministry’s focus on nurturing the nation’s best talents,” read the statement.

According to the ministry, students can buy academic books, reference materials, and scholarly works from the MySiswaPlace portal, a one-stop centre featuring over one million titles, including print and e-books from more than 250 partners.

It said students can access the portal to verify eligibility, generate and redeem vouchers, and buy books.

MOHE also expressed its appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the government’s approval to continue the RM100 book voucher initiative for Malaysian higher education students.
