SHAH ALAM, Aug 14 — Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat's Leadership Council has strongly condemned the attack on Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli's son at a shopping complex yesterday.
Its Information Chief Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad said the attack was an inhumane act that should have never happened.
“This action is inhumane and should not occur to any citizen in this peaceful and harmonious country,” he said in a statement today.
Yesterday, in a Facebook post, Rafizi said that a man had dragged his son and pricked him with a syringe. Today, he revealed that his wife had received a threat this morning following the incident.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the incident is believed to have occurred at about 2pm in the pick-up and drop-off area of a shopping mall in Putrajaya, when the victim was reportedly with his mother and their driver.
Following this, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gave his assurance that the investigation into the case would be conducted transparently, thoroughly, and comprehensively.
