SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — Selangor’s education system that combines all elements, including sports, with learning contributes to the development of excellent students, said state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi.

He said the consistent balance will create professional workers in various sectors, which would positively impact development.

“We are aware that the state’s education system is very good, by combining all elements needed to develop good students.

“This will produce many students who are competitive and will elevate the nation’s productivity in the future,” he said when officiating the Ashura Golf Tournament.

Held at the Amverton Cove Golf Club in Kuala Langat, the second iteration of the championship drew participation from 66 players, including ex-students and corporate staff.

Meanwhile, he said he was happy that the tournament successfully gathered ex-students and preserved their brotherhood.

“Programmes such as these will also empower an active lifestyle,” Najwan said.
