KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — Malaysia’s palm oil exports increased by 3.82 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) to 1.3 million tonnes in July from 1.26 million tonnes in June, said the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

The country produced 1.81 million tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO) last month, up by 7.09 per cent from 1.69 million tonnes the previous month, it said today in its Performance of the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry, July 2025 report.

Palm kernel output rose 8.75 per cent m-o-m to 431,615 tonnes from 396,879 tonnes in June.

Meanwhile, crude palm kernel oil production advanced 13.27 per cent m-o-m to 218,239 tonnes from 192,665 tonnes previously, while palm kernel cake expanded 11.77 per cent m-o-m to 238,511 tonnes from 213,398 tonnes.

On inventories, MPOB said the CPO stockpile dropped 2.02 per cent to 1.02 million tonnes in July compared with 1.04 million tonnes in June, while processed palm oil stocks grew 10.38 per cent m-o-m to 1.09 million tonnes from 988,779 tonnes previously.

This brought total palm oil inventories higher by 4.02 per cent to 2.11 million tonnes last month, from 2.03 million tonnes in June, and marks the highest level in almost two years as production growth outpaced exports.

In addition, palm kernel oil exports climbed 3.7 per cent to 90,028 tonnes from 86,814 tonnes in June, while palm kernel cake exports advanced 33.97 per cent m-o-m to 254.239 tonnes from 189,774 tonnes.

Oleochemical exports gained 22.27 per cent m-o-m to 248,923 tonnes from 203,590 tonnes, and biodiesel exports jumped 1,662.25 per cent to 49,195 tonnes m-o-m from 2,792 tonnes.
