KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — ITMAX System Bhd subsidiary Selmax Sdn Bhd has been appointed by the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) as its Selangor Intelligent Parking (SIP) operator.
ITMAX managing director and CEO William Tan Wei Lun said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local councils in enhancing parking operations with cutting-edge technology.
“Our smart parking solutions have already delivered measurable success in other cities, and we are confident they will support MBSJ’s vision for a more connected, efficient, and sustainable urban ecosystem.
“This initiative is also aligned with Selangor’s broader Smart City agenda, and we are proud to play a role in driving its digital transformation in cities with an integrated smart city infrastructure, enabling better mobility, improved public safety, and enhanced quality of life for citizens,” Tan said in a statement today.
Selmax will deploy, manage, and operate gazetted parking spaces under MBSJ’s jurisdiction.
The appointment is for 10 years, with an option for a five-year extension. As part of the deal, a revenue-sharing arrangement was established, under which Selmax will receive 50 per cent of the revenue generated.
