SHAH ALAM, Aug 1 — A total of 1,260 units of affordable housing under the Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong project have been completed and will be handed over to owners from next week.

Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB) in a statement today said the handover ceremony will be officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on August 8.

“Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong offers condominium units with a minimum built-up area of 1,000sqft, each semi-furnished with amenities such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, refrigerator, water heaters, air-conditioners, and televisions,” it said.

Each unit also comes with two designated parking spaces.

Residents will enjoy a wide range of facilities, including a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a multipurpose hall, a rooftop garden, a preschool, a reading room, a jogging track, a badminton court, and a three-tier security system.

According to PNSB, Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong is the first Rumah Idaman project developed by Gagasan Nadi Cergas Bhd, which is also the developer for Idaman Kwasa Damansara and Idaman Amani in Bandar Elmina.

PNSB also serves as the implementing agency for the Rumah Idaman initiative on behalf of the Selangor government, leading the development of quality affordable housing through its subsidiary, PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd (PCSB).

According to the statement, as of August this year, four Rumah Idaman projects, involving 6,079 units, have been completed and handed over to buyers.

The projects are Idaman Abadi in Hulu Langat, Idaman BSP (Kuala Langat), Idaman Melur (Sepang) and Idaman Bukit Jelutong here.

“A total of 25,302 units of Rumah Idaman are in the planning stage, pending Planning Permission and Building Plan approval from the respective local authority, ” it said.

PNSB emphasised that the continued development of Rumah Idaman reflects the agency and the Selangor government’s commitment to providing quality affordable housing in strategic locations to improve the people’s well-being.
