KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — The Selangor Travel Fair 2025 at Pasar Seni from today until tomorrow, is targeting over 30,000 visitors.

Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling said the campaign, now in its second phase, offers a variety of tourism packages with discounts of up to 50 per cent.

“Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2024, which attracted over 30,000 visitors and recorded nearly RM300,000 in tourism transactions, this second edition gathers over 30 tourism operators from across Selangor.

“We have brought together segments including theme parks, agro-tourism, ecotourism, heritage and culture, educational tourism, and homestays, with expected transactions reaching RM500,000,” she said.

Commenting on the choice of Pasar Seni as the venue, Chua said that its strategic, vibrant location — frequented by a wide demographic — makes it ideal for attracting more visitors to explore Selangor through the various offers available.

She also welcomed the public to attend the event, which runs from 10am to 10pm, featuring live performances tonight by local artistes Lah Ahmad and Aizat Amdan.

Chua added that the Selangor Travel Fair 2025 also serves as the launchpad for the latest tourism campaign 'Selangor Kan Ada', a continuation of its predecessor 'Surprising Selangor'.

“While 'Surprising Selangor' highlighted the state’s wide array of attractions, 'Selangor Kan Ada' focuses more on emotional value, local connection, and authentic experiences,” she said.

Visitors can explore a range of iconic destinations including Farm Fresh @ UPM, the Selangor Fruit Valley, the SplashMania Waterpark, the Skyline Luge, the Chocolate Museum, as well as heritage sites and handicrafts from rural communities.

Selangor Travel Fair 2025 offers a more comprehensive experience for all age groups, including interactive workshops, incuding wau kapal (traditional kite) making, photography sessions, and booths by Media Selangor providing information about the state.
