SHAH ALAM, July 25 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today officiated the Selangor Children’s Book Fair 2025, held at the Selangor State Development Corporation Complex here.
He also witnessed the exchange of three memoranda of understanding (MOUs) involving the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), and University College MAIWP International (UCMI).
Under one MOU, PPAS and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia will cooperate on a two-month work-based learning programme for students. Participants of the programme will experience real jobs at their chosen companies.
The other two MOUs, between PPAS, University College MAIWP International, Pertubuhan Dana Kebajikan Bertindak Altruis, and Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd, are for cooperation in the education field.

After the MOU exchanges, Amirudin launched a children’s version of Imam Al-Ghazali, published by Inisiatif Buku Darul Ehsan.
He also visited exhibits at the fair and greeted attendees.
When met, he said 160 exhibitors joined the fair, which is being held for the third time and targets 80,000 visitors.
“They not only produce and write books but are also involved in child-related activities, such as care.
“Last year, there were 80,000 visitors. Even though we’re facing the haze, I believe this exhibit was anticipated by book enthusiasts, teachers, relevant institutions, and parents,” Amirudin added.
