KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — The retail price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, while the price of RON97 increases by three sen from RM3.18 to RM3.21 per litre from July 17 to July 23.
The Finance Ministry (MOF) said that during the same period, the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remained at RM2.15 per litre, while in Peninsular Malaysia, it increased by three sen from RM2.88 to RM2.91 per litre.
The price adjustments are based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
“The government continues to monitor market trends and adjust the retail prices of RON97 and diesel in line with global oil price movements, while supporting price stability,” it said in a statement today.
MOF added that the government will also take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people.
