Malaysia to hold inaugural Transport Expo Asia 2025

SEPANG, June 24 — Malaysia will organise the inaugural Transport Expo Asia (TXA) 2025 from November 11 to 13 to gather industry players in transport and logistics.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said hosting the TXA 2025 will boost Malaysia’s role as a regional leader in the competitive transport and logistics sector.

He said it brings together policymakers, industry players, academics and technology providers to shape a smarter and more sustainable future of mobility and trade.

“TXA 2025 is a platform for us to discuss and also shape a more sustainable and greener future for our country’s transport facilities and trade,” he said in a press conference after launching the TXA 2025 here today.

Loke said the TXA is a supplemental event to the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) but focuses on transport industry players.

He said the Cabinet had allowed the Transport Ministry to organise another event because LIMA would focus on defence while TXA would focus on transport and logistics.

“This year, MOT will not be the organiser of LIMA. TXA 2025 will be the inaugural edition of the biennial TXA series, with TXA 2026 planned for the third quarter of next year,” he said, adding that the location of the event would be determined later.

He said among the important programmes organised with TXA 2025 is the Road Safety Congress, which will continue in 2026 as an annual event.

“This congress is being held to raise awareness and cooperation in strengthening road safety in Malaysia,” he said.

Loke said more than 80 exhibitors from the multi-modal transport, smart logistics, automation, digital cold chain and other sectors will participate in TXA 2025.

More than 3,000 trade visitors including Asean delegations and industry leaders are expected to participate in TXA 2025 at Sama-Sama Hotel here, with the theme “Future On The Move: Digital, Sustainable Transport, Agile Logistics & ESG-Driven Supply Chains”.
