SHAH ALAM, June 22 — The state government offers five incentives to drive the development of the Selangor Aero Park (SAP) in the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS).
State executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility Ng Sze Han said the incentives include a 50 per cent discount on assessment rates for lots and buildings that have been vacant for two years.
Ng said developers can pay land premiums in full or instalments to lighten the cash flow burden before ownership transfer or the issuance of the Completion and Compliance Certificate.
“Other offers are interest-free instalments on developer fees to support the project’s financial continuity. Developers are also eligible to be exempt from business licence fees for five years, as the SAP is being developed in the IDRISS area,” he told Media Selangor.
He added that the incentives will encourage the development of the SAP and boost Selangor’s position as a regional aerospace hub.
“The state also wants to drive the growth of the logistics and hi-tech sectors in the aero park. It aligns with Selangor’s efforts to become a main regional aerospace industry player,” Ng said.
Last year, the state government launched IDRISS under the First Selangor Plan to develop the Sepang and Kuala Langat districts.
The 40,000-acre area has a potential gross development value of RM1 trillion. IDRISS is driven by integrated private investments, equipped with facilities and supported by incentives by the federal and state governments.
