SHAH ALAM, June 10 — The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) has launched Retail-X 2025, its flagship 12-week accelerator aimed at boosting innovation among 30 high-potential business-to-consumer (B2C) small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Malaysia.

It said that its new accelerator programme offers up to RM300,000 in perks and support.

“Retail-X is focused on helping local B2C businesses future-proof their operations through smart retail technologies, data-driven strategies, and transformative mentorship.

“Participants will be immersed in advanced training covering AI-powered marketing, smart inventory management, omnichannel strategies, and customer experience innovation,” Sidec said in a statement today.

The programme combines real-world retail execution with digital innovation to prepare the SMEs for scalable, sustainable growth.

Targeted at emerging players in fashion, health, food, home living, and purpose-driven sectors, Retail-X offers immersive workshops, brand exposure, and engagement with leading corporate mentors from Aeon, Carsome, F&N, Shopline, and The Lego Group.

The programme will culminate in a Final Demo Day, where the top 20 participants will pitch to a panel of prominent investors, industry leaders, and corporate stakeholders.

“The Top 10 winners will receive total prizes worth RM50,000, including a trophy, certificate, a fully sponsored exclusive innovation trip, potential investment opportunities, and a cash prize,” it said.

To qualify, applicants must be founders or co-founders of B2C SMEs registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia, less than seven years old, and with an annual gross merchandise value (GMV) between RM1 million and RM10 million.

Applications close on June 27. Commitment to the full programme from July to September 2025 is required.
