GOMBAK, June 7 — The state government intends to prioritise public facility upgrades and apartment beautification projects under the 2026 Selangor State Budget, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He added that the move is in line with the First Selangor Plan’s vision to create a smart, liveable and prosperous state.
“Not to forget beautification projects and upgrades. Next year, we will focus on upgrading facilities at apartments.
“This is what is called liveability. We know it is every resident’s need,” he said during the Qurban Strata Gombak event at Pangsapuri Kenanga here today.

Amirudin said the state government has allocated RM10 million to settle strata ownership issues in Selangor, as 10,000 cases, which remain open, are estimated to cost RM80 million to resolve.
On May 31, the Menteri Besar launched the RM10 million Selangor Strata Fund, detailed under the 2025 Selangor State Legislative Assembly, to solve strata ownership cases, especially those involving older apartments.
The Gombak MP said the allocation shows the state administration’s commitment to work out the problem that has plagued residents for decades.
