SHAH ALAM, May 23 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj has urged state leaders and the local authorities to focus on delivery over rhetoric when addressing matters that impact the people’s daily lives.
Chairing the 159th meeting of the Selangor Royal Council at Istana Alam Shah in Klang today, His Royal Highness issued a pointed reminder to “less talk, more action”, a call for immediate solutions to the rakyat’s needs.
According to a post on the Selangor Royal Office’s Facebook page, Sultan Sharafuddin also stressed the importance of a proactive state administration, especially in resolving issues or implementing projects tied to public welfare and quality of life.
“Today’s meeting also focused on discussions related to Islamic affairs in Selangor,” it said.
Prior to the start of the meeting, the Ruler witnessed the official swearing-in of two new members of the royal council.
Senator Dato’ Setia Salehuddin Saidin, in his capacity as Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) chairman, took his oath as an ex officio member.
He was joined by former Mais chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, who was appointed as a member of the state’s Orang-Orang Besar.
