SHAH ALAM, May 21 — Visitors to the Kuala Lumpur International Book Festival (KLIBF) 2025 will enjoy discounts of up to 25 per cent on Inisiatif Buku Darul Ehsan (IBDE) publications.

IBDE’s booth at the festival, which kicks off Friday at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur from 10am to 10pm, can be found at Dewan Tun Razak 4 at Exhibits 8 to 30.

IBDE said many more special offers are available for visitors, including a 15 per cent discount on all books, 20 per cent on featured books, and a combo deal from as low as RM50.

“Visitors can also buy selected titles from as low as RM5, as well as a 5 per cent discount on purchases made between 10am and 11am.

“Those who buy (books worth) RM50 will be eligible for a special postcard, while those who buy RM100 will receive a non-woven bag. Those who spend RM150 will enter the wheel of fortune and be registered as a Golden Bookkeeper,” it said on Facebook.

IBDE said its new titles are of various genres, and will be available at KLIBF 2025, including Ihya’ Ulumuddin Menghidupkan Agama Jilid 6, Himpunan Doa Harian (dual language), Pengantar Ilmu Tafsir, Dalail al-Khairat, Dunia Kini Milik China?, Bintang Merah di Langit Malaya, Kitab Kuning, children’s book collection Siri Al-Ghazali Muda, Suri Hati Nabi, Muslihat Mahathir, Amir Abdul Kadir, Cetera Falsafah, Renungan Metafizik, and Tujuan Hidup Manusia.

Previously, Selangor Public Libraries Corporation director Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad said Selangor had been honoured as a Guest State for the fifth time at the KLIBF.

She said Selangor is the only Guest State, with other guests being several ministries.

Nearly two million visitors are expected to throng KLIBF 2025, which features over 280 exhibitors and 1,000 booths, including foreign ones, under the Asean Rights Fair.

This year’s KLIBF is hybrid-concept, where visitors can buy books in person or online on platforms such as TikTok and Shopee.
