KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 — RON97 and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia prices have gone down by eight sen to RM3.10 and RM2.80 per litre, respectively, from tomorrow to May 14.
The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the retail price of RON95 will remain at RM2.05 per litre, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan also remains at RM2.15 per litre.
The ministry said the rates were based on the weekly retail costs of petroleum products, calculated using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
“The government continues to monitor market developments and adjust RON97 and diesel retail prices based on global oil market fluctuations, while supporting price stability,” the statement read.
It added that the government will take appropriate measures to safeguard the people’s welfare and well-being.
