SHAH ALAM, May 3 — The Selangor Mega Food Festival 2025, which runs until tomorrow at Dataran Kemerdekaan, has drawn large crowds.
A wide variety of food and activities are available to visitors, including more than 100 stalls.
Visitor Nor Aryssa Daniella, 23, said she attended the event to purchase the viral treats from Suka Dessert and to explore other offerings.
“I found out about the festival through TikTok, and today (yesterday) I spent around RM130 on cakes and desserts.
“I do not mind spending more because it is delicious. It is exciting to know there is a food festival as you can find all sorts of food and drinks here,” she told Media Selangor.
Nur Nabila Muhammad Shahizan, 24, said the food festival's current location is more strategic compared to its previous venue at the Shah Alam Stadium.

“It would be great if it were held more often, especially on weekends. It is perfect for families to relax as the place is peaceful and well-situated,” she said.
Private sector employee Mohd Azlan Jandrani, 36, said the festival featured a wide range of food and beverages.
“It is interesting because there are so many food and drink options. I did not even know there was a festival here; we just happened to pass by and stopped.
“The only issue is that parking is quite limited, so we had to walk a fair distance. Maybe in future, a dedicated parking area for visitors could be provided,” he said.
The state government is targeting 30,000 visitors for the four-day festival. Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said it is part of the state’s initiative to further boost the Visit Selangor Year 2025 campaign.
