SHAH ALAM, May 1 — The government's role is crucial in establishing an ecosystem capable of creating careers and generating wealth, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said the influx of various high-quality investments, including in the digital industry, promises job opportunities with good income and high work standards.
Extending his Labour Day greetings, Amirudin emphasised that human capital will continue to be strengthened to encourage innovation and enable individuals to navigate life in line with the expanding digital era.
“Workers are the lifeblood of the nation’s economy. To traders, civil servants, farmers, fishermen, entrepreneurs, and all those working — happy Labour Day,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Over 10,000 public and private sector workers enlivened the 2025 National Labour Day celebration, which Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim officiated at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, today.
Carrying the theme 'Pekerja Kesuma Bangsa', this year’s celebration honours the vital role of workers as the backbone of the country and key drivers of sustainability, justice, and well-being.
