SHAH ALAM, April 29 — The JobCare tour, which visited 10 locations last year, has helped more than 3,000 people gain employment.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said jobs were offered in various fields and at many levels, including senior positions.
“Last year, more than 5,000 individuals visited the tour to seek jobs. We also held JobCare Istimewa for people with disabilities, the hardcore poor, and ex-convicts.
“On the whole, over 40,000 jobs were offered by 267 employers from the public and private sectors,” he told Media Selangor.
This year, the tour continues in all nine districts, with more than 40,000 jobs on offer.
The kick-off in Gombak was held on April 19 and 20, which offered 4,318 career opportunities with salaries up to RM13,000.
Of the 4,318 opportunities, 3,074 jobs offered wages above the minimum rate, which is RM2,000 per month.
The JobCare Tour will continue on May 24 at the Petaling Jaya City Council in SS3.
