SHAH ALAM, April 27 — Yayasan Peneraju has introduced a fast-track plan, which allows Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates to launch their careers from as early as age 21.
Yayasan Peneraju chief executive officer Ibrahim Sani said 2,000 slots have been prepared this year, ready for students who want to save time and education costs and quality for jobs as soon as they complete their studies.
“This post-SPM programme makes it quicker for them to obtain their certificate in the Foundation of Accounting through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, as well as the Certificate of Finance, Accounting and Business from the ICAEW.
“They can also earn professional titles like ‘chartered certified accountant’ so they can start their careers earlier,” he told reporters after a certification briefing at the Shah Alam City Council auditorium here today.

Ibrahim said the initiative not only expedites students’ transition to the working world, but gives them confidence in their future, in line with current industry needs.
He urged parents to give their full support to their children and make full use of this opportunity, which could lower the youth unemployment rate.
“I worry that parents’ hesitance to support their children could affect the children’s performance,” he added.
The “Jom Explore! Why Not YP?” programme is a collaboration between Yayasan Peneraju and the Economy Ministry, which also offers flexible financing to Bumiputera at three tiers — Silver (up to RM15,000), Gold (up to RM30,000), and Platinum (up to RM150,000).
