By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SHAH ALAM, April 20 — Selangor FC (SFC) winger Faisal Halim suffered a fracture to his nose during the Super League final at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium last night.

SFC, which confirmed the injury, said Faisal will be treated conservatively and undergo a detailed checkup soon.

“An ear, nose and throat specialist said Faisal has a ‘fractured nasal bone with mucosa laceration’.

“However, there is no danger for him to be on the field. Management is hoping he recovers quick. Be strong, Mickey!” SFC said in a Facebook post, referring to Faisal by his nickname.

Yesterday, Faisal had a nosebleed after colliding with PDRM FC player Faith Friday Obilor in the 54th minute.

During the match, the Red Giants closed out their campaign by defeating PDRM DC 2-0, thanks to goals from Alvin Fortes and Yohandry Oroczo in extra time.

In May last year, Faisal suffered fourth-degree burns after being attacked with acid at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara near here.
