SHAH ALAM, April 15 — Over 18,000 state civil servants today received the Special Financial Aid (BKK) of a half month’s salary, or a minimum of RM500.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the State Revenue Incentive aid is a mark of gratitude over Selangor’s record income last year.

“May this incentive enliven Aidilfitri celebrations for those who have served the Selangor people,” he said in a Facebook post.

In conjunction with the Mahabbah Ramadan Madani on March 19, Amirudin announced the extra aid, for a total of one-and-a-half month’s Aidilfitri assistance disbursed.

The disbursement, involving RM38.75 million, was given following the state’s encouraging revenue collection of nearly RM700 million.

Amirudin also announced that the aid disbursed included RM250 for 50,000 federal staff earning RM3,000 and under who work in Selangor.

The incentive, in the form of a half month’s allowance (minimum RM500), was extended to local leaders. village communications officers, Indian community heads, jetty villages, and Wanita Berdaya Selangor and Penggerak Belia Selangor supervisors.

Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, also contributed RM500 to masjid workers.

Previously, when tabling the 2025 Selangor State Budget, Amirudin announced the BKK 2024, in the form of two months’ salary to be paid out in phases, to all civil servants.

The first BKK was disbursed on December 30 while the second payment was disbursed on March 25 ahead of Aidilfitri.
