SHAH ALAM, April 14 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has expressed his condolences to the friends and family of the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who died at 7.10pm at the National Heart Institute (IJN) tonight.
Amirudin said the death of the fifth prime minister was a huge loss for Malaysians.
“May God place his soul among the virtuous, God willing. Inalillahwainnailaihirajiun,” he said in a Facebook post tonight.
Abdullah, better known as Pak Lah, breathed his last tonight after being admitted to IJN at 3am yesterday for respiratory difficulties.
His death was confirmed by his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, in an Instagram post.
Abdullah is set to be buried at Makam Pahlawan, Kuala Lumpur, tomorrow.
