SHAH ALAM, April 14 — The Gagasan Rumpun Selangor (GRS) tour will go to Gombak next week for the finale of the current phase, said state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail.
He said Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah will join the April 16 to 18 event.
“This is the ninth and last district (for the tour) so we hope for (warm reception) seeing as it is being held during a festive period. There will be a launch of a police station by Tengku Amir Shah.
“GRS 2.0 will be continued, but talks on themes and implementation are still being held with the palace,” Rizam said during the Sabak Bernam Community Care Connection function in Bagan Nakhoda Omar, Sungai Air Tawar, yesterday.
The event, also attended by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, drew over 10,000 guests, mostly from the Sungai Air Tawar state constituency.
Other than a feast, Rizam said his office has organised an umrah package as the grand prize of a lucky draw.
“There is a lucky draw every year, but this time we have prepared an umrah package. There is only one up for grabs,” he added.
